| | Decided to go trigger happy at Bugis with my Lumix! Lunching at Tong Seng Coffee Shop was a daily affair when I was working at the Raffles Hospital a couple of years ago.
What draws me there is because the food was nice, the portion satisfying for a big eater like me and most importantly, affordable.
However, the person cooking my order today seems to have lost the 'touch'. The noodle was limpy and the sauce, disappointing.
You can say that I risked my life everyday to have my lunch there because the motorists that drive on this road are all F1 racers.
These flights of colored spiral staircase seem like a popular must-shoot location in Bugis. I like how the dark clouds are looming above, adding interest to the picture.
Which do you prefer? Colored or Black & White? There was no planned itinerary. I just walked wherever interests me and before I knew it, I have ended up at City Hall. I had wanted to visit Funan IT Mall but "a sea of blue" in the distance caught my attention. Singapore celebrates her 45th Birthday this year and the celebrations would be held at The Padang. The theme for this year is "LIVE OUR DREAMS, FLY OUR FLAG" Can you spot The Singapore Flyer, Esplanade and the Marina Bay Sands? Here is where the President and his Ministers watch the Parade. A car accident occurred shortly after snapping this shot. A lady driver banged into the car in front during the red light. Both drivers drove to the side to discuss compensation while I walked off towards Empress Place, where the Victoria Concert Hall is. Victoria concert Hall with the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles, founder of modern Singapore. This place brings back fond memories of the performing days... I crossed the Cavenagh Bridge and walked along the Singapore River. My river walk ended up opposite the MITA Building and I decided to visit the Central Fire Station which is a bit further down. After visiting the Central Fire Station, I visited Funan IT Mall (where I found the Humping Dog USB!) to have a short rest before continuing my way towards Outram Park. There are more sights along the way but I didn't shoot everything. Clicked this link to check the places I've visited! While I was halfway across the road at Eu Tong Sen Street, my left leg calf muscles suddenly cramp very badly. The muscle contraction caused my leg to curl backwards involuntarily. I was in so much pain I couldn't put down my foot and I had to hobble across the road to hug the traffic light for support. Not sure if it is due to the lack of exercise or a lack of warm up but it sure freak me out!
