After a hearty breakfast and a tour around the wet market, we returned to the hotel for a much needed bath as everyone began to smell just like dead fish. The remaining morning was spent watching TVB serials on Astro but I was dozing off half the time as I have been kept awake by Dad's snores the previous night.
It was not until noon when we finally decide to go for a massage at the parlour right next to our hotel. As the
姨妈姑姐 were not too keen, we parted ways and went on our own. I noticed that here in Hat Yai, every single massage parlour which we walked past operates as a hair salon as well.
Halloween was just over so I shall not traumatise you further with pictures of my thunder thighs but here's one picture of the masseur trying to introduce my knee to my nose.

I didn't know that I could be so flexible! *proud*
After the massage, I felt like a brand new person as though the masseur has disassembled my bones and rearranged them back again.
Remember what I mentioned in the previous post about Hat Yai? It's food.
It's lunch time - just me and my folks!
I could finally eat at ease with no 姨妈姑姐 to terrify me with their saliva! Heh!
After lunch, we went strolling around Lee Garden again. Although it was only our second day there, we have already covered all there is to shop. There is really nothing much left to shop around because every other stalls are selling similar items. I wonder how they survive with the competition?

Top row = 1 for 100 BAHT
Second row = 2 for 100 BAHT
Third and fourth row = 3 for 100 BAHT

First you toast it over a charcoal stove

Then you roll it repeatively with this machine to lengthen it

Quite tasteless, actually
We have been walking past this stall no less than five times since our arrival and we have been giving each other the eye whether to try it or not. We finally gave in to temptation.
Big mistake! The prawn may seem big but the head already make up for half it's size so there is only that much meat to go around. And to add insult to injury, the prawn has been refried and does not taste fresh at all. I suspect the prawns were leftovers from the previous day.
The stall also sells Chicken Drumstick and scary looking Quails

We bought a Chicken Drumstick, a Giant Prawn and Glutinous Rice with Durian and Coconut Milk

The sun was setting and it's time for... dinner!
Yes, it was time for food again! We were not hungry yet from all the food earlier but knowing me, I would surely start clamouring for food in the middle of the night so I went to have a look at the McDonald's below Lee Gardens.
UPSIZED Samurai Burger at 116 BAHT= SGD 5
Before I went to Hat Yai, I have already compiled a mental list of must-dos and must-eats and one of the must-eats on my list was the McPork aka Samurai Burger! I tapau-ed one meal back to the hotel but was caught in the rain which is why the burger is in such a sorry-looking state.
Check out my next entry as we checked out of the hotel and headed for our two days stay at the temple.
