Hello everyone, how is your Christmas?
Christmas is the best time of the year because I like how heartwarming it is.
It is the only time of the year when everyone could come together to put up the Christmas tree beside the fireplace, unwrapping presents and singing Christmas carols!
And this song correctly depict how I feel about Christmas!
Unfortunately, coming from a typical Chinese family, we do not have the tradition to celebrate Christmas. We do not have a fireplace nor a Christmas tree or even presents. Therefore, 25th December is just like any other holiday to us.
So yes, I actually cooped myself up at home on Christmas Day... just like the previous year, the year before that and the year before that...I decided to go on an impromptu trip the next day on Boxing Day but where do I go?
With no destination in mind, I hopped onto the first bus that came along.
With the earphones in my ears, I leaned my head against the window pane and watches the world outside whizz me by. I appreciate long bus rides like this that allow me the opportunity to recollect my thoughts.
After travelling for a while, I finally got off the bus and ended up at Parco Bugis Junction.

I was happy to see Stitch

Unfortunately, I was annoyed by some inconsiderate people who posed for 984723895653456th shots of themselves with Stitch. After taking the pictures, they remained standing in front of Stitch checking out the pictures that they have just taken.
Hello, there are others who also want to take a picture of Stitch but WITHOUT their face in it... Geez, some people make common sense seem really uncommon....
Wheekers
Saw these Guinea Pigs from PLC. I was tempted but had to remind myself no impulse buying! My Christmas wish for this year is to hope that all shelter animals could find homes!
Adopt; NOT shop!
Moving on, I decided to walk over to Suntec City which I have not been to for at least a year. While passing by Middle Road towards Shaw Towers, I stumbled across...
I'll keep you in suspense for now
(I'll write up a separate post about this next year if I remembered
)
It appeared on "Our Makan Places" hosted by Michelle Chia and Gurmit Singh
So, do check back this blog if you wanna know what it is, alright? Heh heh...

Suntec City

I believe I have not been to Suntec City for a really long time. I panic when I realize that the overhead bridge from City Link is gone. Luckily, it did not take me long to find the underpass outside which leads me to Marina Square... Phew!

Marina Square
I preferred the Christmas decorations at Marina Square more than Suntec's.

I'm a sucker for Christmas lights but my camera can never do them justice

The color theme reminds me of Cadbury Chocolates

The Meiji Bear

Some soft toys

Carebear

Stitch

Precious Moments

Stitch from the arcade

Croslight on display

Reminds me of the ancestral tablets on the altar...

They looked cute from afar but on a closer look...

I find them quite creepy, actually...

More Carebears!

I grew up watching Carebears and I still have their stickerbook!
Leaving Marina Square, my foot brought me to Millenia Walk which is basically too ATAS for me to hang around. Exiting from the building, the sound of trickling water lured me to this water-featured wall.

I like this!

And I spotted the Singapore Flyer in the distance
Truth be told, I have not been to the Singapore Flyer before and I do not even know how to get there but, with the wheel as my guide, I make my way towards it on foot.

Reached!

Once again, my camera cannot do justice to this beautiful sight

It so happens that Marina Bay Sands (MBS) is just round the corner so it does not make sense for me to walk away without paying it a visit, right? It was also my virgin trip there so I was kind of excited to know what I might see inside.
MBS in the distance
One of my favorite shot from this trip

The Helix Bridge
Honestly speaking, I could feel the bridge shaking under my feet and I was thinking what if the bridge suddenly collapse? It would be a long swim back to shore!

What is that 'Adidas' structure?

Gosh, MBS was even more ATAS than Millenia Walk!
I do not even dare to stop and look inside the shops for more than a minute!

The reason why everyone is flocking to MBS
Gondola Bumboat

Here is where you sing
"Row, row, row your boat..."By this time, I was getting hungry, thirsty and extremely tired. I could not feel my legs anymore after a whole day of walking around. I decided to make my way to the Esplanade.

Seen the Wishing Spheres floating on the water?
They are part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2010/2011 tonight
