I Met A Flasher At Jalan Wong Ah Fook

Before I start the topic proper, let me ask you what does this picture tells you?

That I'm back at City Square for my Chick-A-Licious fix!

NOM! NOM! NOM!

NOT!

It was not as good as the previous time I had it. The chicken was not crispy nor well-marinated. Even the mushroom sauce tastes a little off. Was it a different chef on duty? I guess it is time I visit the Portuguese Chicken a few doors down the next time!

Another thing was, I had a hard time placing my order with the teenager serving me. As I can't speak Malay, I had to place my order in English but the teenager behind the counter replies to me with her native language. Don't you think it's common sense (and respect for the other party) to reply in the same language especially when it comes to business?

I could understand if it is a old Macik but a teenager should be able to converse in English right? I trust that Malaysian schools do teach English, don't they?

Actually, I did not cross the border just to eat at Marrybrown. My main purpose there was to stock up on CNY goodies.

To my disappointment, there was not much to buy except for the few promotional stalls at the foyer. I'm surprised that City Square does not have a decent supermarket at all (that minimart at the basement does not count!)

I'm too tired to go Tebrau City so in the end, I returned to Singapore with just two tubs of love letters at SGD8 each.

I love the CNY decorations at City Square!

So "Old Shanghai"-ish!

Oh, I almost forgot about the flasher whom I met outside City Square at Jalan Wong Ah Fook! I was across the road from City Square near the overhead bridge when this Malay man came up to me nervously. He keeps looking over his shoulders and when the coast is finally clear, he gestured with his eyes for me to look down.

Swiftly, he whipped out something with his trembling hands and showed it to me...

It was a white iPhone and I think he wants me to buy it.

I shook my head, smiled, and walked off towards Kotaraya JB.
