I was running errands in the vicinity of Orchard Road last week.

It was noon time and you know how difficult it is to get a table at the foodcourts and eateries during peak hours?

Unless you have the spare cash to dine in comfort at some fancy restaurants, chances are, everywhere else would be thronging with people.

Fortunately, I have found some secret hangouts where the crowd is not so intimidating during lunch hour. I am not clear if they are always like that but it appears so whenever I am there.

The first was the KFC/LJS outlet at ION.

Don't ask me why, perhaps they are located at a rather deserted wing of the building?

The other one, my latest discovery, was BK at the second level of Orchard Central, and MOS Burger at the basement which is located just beside Gong Cha (also no queue!)

I believe OC is the part of Orchard Road where few people would tread unless they have something to do there. I wonder if it has anything to do with the atas image that they are trying to potray?

If not, how do you explain the following?
